Winsor & Newton Drawing Ink Liquid Indian Ink

Winsor & Newton Drawing Ink Liquid Indian Ink

26 colours in 14ml bottles, including Liquid Indian Ink.

Liquid Indian Ink
Black ink was known as masi in India: a mixture of different ashes, water and glue; a formula we follow in our Liquid Indian Ink. It was only in the mid-17th century, when Europe began importing ink from India, that it became known as Indian ink. Our Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction by Winsor & Newton in the 1890’s, and our main priority has always been quality of colour. This ink can be applied with a brush or dip pen.
Non-Waterproof
